Hot summer days on the Skylemar waterfront!

Clean, clear, refreshing water for splashing, swimming, boating and skiing! Skylemar’s sandy beach overlooks the virtually private, 3-mile long lake. Considered to be one of Maine’s most pristine water bodies, Trickey Pond is the greatest.

American Red Cross WSI’s (Water Safety Instuctors) and lifeguards provide swim lessons regularly. Boys may choose to compete with the Skylemar swim team, or wake up early for Polar Bear. Water polo and snorkeling too! Climb the 15-foot iceberg, and slide down the slippery slope. Or, swim to the pontoon and jump off the high tower.

To the left of the dock system, boys learn to sail, canoe and kayak. To the right, it’s skiing! There are three boats (Malibu, Moomba and Mastercraft) for waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing.

Most have never skied or wakeboarded before coming to Skylemar. Our expert ski staff patiently teaches beginners to get up, and those with experience to advance.

In the evening, campers fish in a secluded, quiet spot. The waterfront is also great for evening cookouts, beach parties and bonfires.
